RELATIONSHIP EDUCATION FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS
In April 2010, Ten Ten Theatre will begin to roll out its series of resources in Relationship Education for primary schools.

We aim to provide primary school Headteachers, governors and school leadership teams with high-quality theatre-in-education resources that both support the pastoral structures of the school and are rooted in the experience of the children.

It is our vision to work with children annually from Year 1 to 6. To do this, we have created a programme which runs on a two-year cycle and each year provides three age-appropriate resources in Relationship Education.

An integral part of the resource is a twilight session for parents at the end of the school day or in the evening, led by the Ten Ten team. This is an opportunity for parents to fully participate in their child’s development.

In addition to the visit from Ten Ten, we also provide follow-up cross-curricular resources to be delivered by teachers in the classroom. These resources link directly to the PSHE curriculum and SEAL, as well as supporting the pastoral work of your school

It is a six-stage programme which helps children to understand:

- the actions of love;
- the significance of rules;
- the value of gifts;
- the importance of respect;
- the meaning of dignity;
- the concept of vocation.
